An Occasion for the Arts Oct.6 & 7, 2012

This weekend, I will be participating in An Occasion for the Arts 44th annual art show in Williamsburg, VA. The show is open both Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The painting shown above, Amber Twilight, is mixed water media on canvas. This is the painting that caught the eye of the juror at the Seawall Art Show in August.

This weekend is the 42nd Annual Seawall Art Show. The hours are Saturday 10:00 am until 6:00pm and Sunday, 10:00am until 5:00pm. I will be in space #70 which is 5 spaces in from the corner of High Street and Crawford Parkway. If you are on High Street looking toward the water, I will be on your far right. Study #7

Another in my series of small studies.  This is study #7 and is 6 in x 6 in.  I was very pleased with this one in particular and it sold at the Stockley Gardens Spring Art Show.  This colors in this one will probably become a larger painting.  I have several things in the works including a new study. They should be finished soon.

There have been a lot of family things going on recently.  Our son is home from Turkey, he was finishing is undergraduate work abroad.  It is nice to have him home.

Gosport Arts Festival

This weekend is the annual Gosport Arts Festival in Portsmouth, VA.  

On Saturday, May 12th, the show will be open from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. On Sunday, May 13th, the show will be open from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Small Studies

I have started a new series of small studies.  These paintings are primarily on canvas, unframed and are ready to hang.  The largest is 12x12.
