Chesapeake Art Show

I will be in an art show April 25th and 26th at the Chesapeake Museum in Chesapeake, VA. This painting will be used for their publicity. Can't wait to see the posters, etc. This was so much fun to paint, I just love whimsical and colorful.

Show news and paintings

Hope everyone has been staying warm this week, just another typical March here in Hampton Roads.
I have now heard from two of the shows that I applied to. I'll be doing the Chesapeake Art Show and Stockley Gardens this spring. More information on these to follow.
Also, I am posting two new paintings. The one on the left is a row of pears in mixed media. The other is a whimsical guitar painting in water media.

Katie Dog

I haven't painted any of my "Kaleidoscopia" animals in a while, so today I painted one that I had drawn a couple of months ago. I'm trying a new technique that I learned in a workshop where there is some drawing done in acrylic paint.

This is a painting of an English Setter named Katie. We always called her Katie Dog and she was with us for 17 years.
