Seawall Art Show

Come out and see my new art this weekend at the Seawall Art Show http://tinyurl.com/nc9clu. Info can also be found on my website http://www.lauragibbs-studio.com/ .

The image on the left is a new painting called "Rocky Mountain Glow". It is mixed media on illustration board and is framed to 16 1/2 x 36. This is a different format for me and a lot of fun.
The image on the right is also new. It is called "Strata" and is acrylic on paper, framed to 22x29.

Anticipation

This is another of my recent works, mixed water media on handmade paper. It was based on figure drawings during a session with a model, Misha had such interesting costumes, she was so much fun to draw and to paint.

Intrepid

New art work from this summer - acrylic on gold leaf. Lots of fun to paint, another new surface to work with.

New Profile Picture

I'm trying out a new picture for my profile. This is a miniature mixed media portrait that I will probably use in a collage.

Summer update

I can't believe that the summer is flying by. It has been extremely busy - two workshops, a 50th Anniversary party for my parents, birthday's, visits with family, some kind of summer sinus thing, etc. I have been cleaning up the studio and taking an inventory. Lots of new work to post. Keep a look out - you will be getting email notifications soon!

Hope everyone out there is having lots of fun this summer.

Take care,
Laura
